The Region has moved to a twice-a-week update system. This began on Tuesday, May 10th. The updates come Tuesday and Friday. With Canada Day being on a Friday, the update has been released on Thursday, June 30th.
Across Halton, there are 87 new cases since Tuesday’s update. The total number of cases is up to 50,707. There have been 1,308 total hospitalizations in Halton and 380 deaths.
In Milton, we had 21 new cases since Tuesday. That brings us to 13,534 total cases. There have been 303 total hospitalizations in Milton and 67 deaths.
There are currently one outbreak reported in Milton:

Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,344,542 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,196,796 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 66,971 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 105,004 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 107,374 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 69,083 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
