
The Region says it has moved to a twice-a-week update system. This began Tuesday, May 10th. The updates come Tuesday and Friday.
Across Halton, there are 64 new cases since Friday’s update. The total number of cases is up to 50,376. There have been 1,300 total hospitalizations in Halton and 380 deaths.
In Milton, we had seven new cases since Friday. That brings us to 13,457 total cases. There have been 302 total hospitalizations in Milton and 67 deaths.
There are currently no outbreaks reported in Milton.
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,340,725 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,193,326 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 66,778 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 104,826 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 107,291 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 69,050 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 80,654 total doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 93,929 total doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 100,855 total doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 105,966 total doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 106,715 total doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
- 102,087 total doses have been administered to people aged 55-59;
- 94,129 total doses have been administered to people aged 60-64;
- 82,535 total doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;
- 77,261 total doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
- 61,050 total doses have been administered to people aged 75-79;
- 87,422 total doses have been administered to people aged 80+; and,
- 177 total additional doses are pending.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 380,967 total doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 34,852 total doses have been administered through other clinic settings;
- 924,906 total doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
The province has moved to weekly updated, with an error occurring in the last week. As of June 14th, there are 786 new daily cases province-wide. There have been 1,314,447 total cases in Ontario. 49,219 people have been hospitalized, and 13,351 people have died with the virus. Get the numbers here.
