The Milton Menace will continue to have a voice on the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) Board of Directors for next season.
The Ontario Junior Hockey League held its annual general meeting in Oshawa over the weekend. The Board of Directors were voted on at the meeting, and that includes the owner of the Milton Menace, Jason Tryfon! Here’s the Board:
- Chair – Stuart Hyman – Markham Royals
- Vice-Chair – Ron Sedlbauer – Burlington Cougars
- Director – Jason Tryfon – Milton Menace
- Director – Dave Steele – Collingwood Blues
- Director – Jim Thomson – Aurora Tigers
Highlights from the meeting include:
- The OJHL is returning to its two-conference alignment with the top eight teams in each conference qualifying for the playoffs. Inter-conference, crossover games return for the 2022-23 season. The conferences, North/West and South/East, remain the same. The Buffalo Jr. Sabres of the West Division are taking a leave of absence from the OJHL for a third season.
- The OJHL Governors’ Showcase will take place September 19-21, 2022 in Cobourg, ON for the second straight season.
- The OJHL All-Star Celebration weekend will be held January 13-14, 2023 in Collingwood, ON
- The league will be conducting a pilot project using video review for goals.
- Marc Mercier was elected as an OJHL Life Member joining previous OJHL Life Member Scott McCrory.
- Scott McCrory and David Arsenault were elected to the Ontario Hockey Association board as the OJHL representatives.
