The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, June 13th and Monday, June 20th, there were at least 25 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A quality of life case on Martin Street on Monday, June 13th;
- a theft case at 3 Side Road and Tremaine Road on Monday, June 13th;
- a property crime case on Main Street East on Tuesday, June 14th;
- a theft from vehicle case at Main Street East and Ontario Street on Tuesday, June 14th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Trudeau Drive on Tuesday, June 14th;
- a theft case on Second Line Nassagaweya on Tuesday, June 14th;
- an assault case on Bussel Crescent on Wednesday, June 15th;
- a pair of property crime cases on Main Street East on Wednesday, June 15th;
- an assault case on Main Street East on Wednesday, June 15th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Steeles Avenue East on Wednesday, June 15th;
- a property crime case on Lawson Road on Thursday, June 16th;
- a pair of theft from vehicle cases on Cochrane Terrace on Thursday, June 16th;
- a pair of theft from vehicle cases on Zuest Crescent on Thursday, June 16th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Duignan Crescent on Thursday, June 16th;
- an assault case on Escarpment Way on Friday, June 17th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Main Street East on Friday, June 17th;
- an assault case on Steeles Avenue on Saturday, June 18th;
- a property crime case on Philbrook Drive on Saturday, June 18th;
- a property crime case on Solomon Court on Saturday, June 18th;
- a theft of vehicle case at Canyon Road and Limestone Road near Campbellville on Sunday, June 19th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Rolph Terrace on Sunday, June 19th; and,
- a theft case on Main Street East on Sunday, June 19th.
Of the 25 cases of crime, 14 were theft cases of some kind, six were property crimes, four were assault cases, and one was a quality of life case.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
