You might have to get ready for an increase in your hydro bill come January 2023.
Milton Hydro has sent in a Distribution Rates Application to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB). Customers would see an increase of $5.32 per 750 kWh used. If approved, the increase in rates will kick in January 1st.
In a summary of the application for customers, Milton Hydro says the change in rates “will support sustainable growth and innovation, enabling us to provide better services to all customers.” You can read the full summary here.
The OEB is expected to hold a hearing to make a decision on the rate change. At the time of writing, no date for the hearing was listed on the Milton Hydro site. The notice of hearing can be found here.
