The first heat wave of the season is expected to continue. Environment Canada says hot and increasingly humid weather is expected through Tuesday. Maximum temperatures on Tuesday will be in the low thirties, and with forecast minimum temperatures in the low twenties in many areas, little relief from the heat is expected on Tuesday night.
Cooler air is expected to arrive on Wednesday.
These conditions pose a health risk when you are not used to the heat. Everyone is at risk from heat, especially older adults; infants and young children; and people with chronic illnesses.
