The Town of Milton is warning of more roadwork in the coming months.
Starting in June, the 2022 Asphalt Program will begin repairing and improving local roads. It will run through August. The Town asks residents to note:
- You may experience a short interruption to driveway access (crew members can assist)
- Follow all signs and flag person’s directions
- Sand cover will be swept up within one week after sealing (weather permitting)
- Use caution when driving on loose sand
- Drive slowly (5km) if you accidentally enter a freshly treated area that has not been sanded – sealer can be removed from a vehicle with a pressure washer and degreaser soap
- Keep children and pets out of treated areas to avoid tracking into houses
- Material tracked on driveways will weather off within a few weeks
