
The Region says it has moved to a twice-a-week update system. This began Tuesday, May 10th. The updates will come Tuesday and Friday.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show five additional deaths in the totals. Three of the deaths appear to be Burlington residents, giving the city 132 deaths total. The other two were Oakville residents, putting the town at 106 deaths total. Halton Hills remains at 67 deaths total. Milton remains at 65 deaths total. Halton is now at 370 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 180 new cases since Friday’s update. The total number of cases is up to 49,346. There have been 1,259 total hospitalizations in Halton and 370 deaths.
In Milton, we had 43 new cases since Friday. That brings us to 13,260 total cases. There have been 297 total hospitalizations in Milton and 65 deaths.

Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,324,972 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,178,894 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 65,896 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 104,009 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 106,904 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 68,843 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;

- 100,595 total doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;

- 371,485 total doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 34,661 total doses have been administered through other clinic settings;
- 917,600 total doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
