The Milton Film Festival is hosting its next Movies in the Barn event tomorrow night (May 18th).
The festival will be presenting a special in-person screening of Murphy’s Law, a hugely popular documentary film by Megan Murphy.
The film follows Murphy as she re-creates her father’s 1973 bicycle trip across Ireland, using his original bike and following his journal as a guide.
Community members are invited to attend the screening at 7:30pm in the beautiful Gambrel Barn at Country Heritage Park.
Murphy will also be attending the event for a Q&A with the audience after the film.
The next screening event will be for Canadian film DONKEYHEAD on June 1st:
- Actor, writer and director Agam Darshi (DMZ, Funny Boy) will be on hand via Zoom to answer audience questions about her very funny debut feature, DONKEYHEAD. She plays Mona, a failed writer, who carves out a life of isolation in Regina while caring for her ailing Sikh father. But when he has a debilitating stroke her three successful siblings show up on her doorstep determined to take control of the situation. The film also stars Kim Coates and Stephen Lobo.
