
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show three additional deaths in the totals. One of the deaths appears to be a Milton resident, giving our town 65 deaths total. Another seems to be an Oakville resident, giving the town 101 deaths total. The third death appear to be a Burlington resident, giving the city 127 deaths total. Halton Hills remains at 66. Halton is now at 359 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 78 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 48,489. There have been 1,246 total hospitalizations in Halton and 359 deaths.
In Milton, we had 14 new cases. That brings us to 13,051 total cases. There have been 295 total hospitalizations in Milton and 65 deaths.
There are two outbreaks in Milton:
- Congregate living facility known as ‘Congregate Living – 139’
- Milton District Hospital – 2 North Regional Unit
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,313,658 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,168,545 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 65,503 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 103,718 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 106,700 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 68,716 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
