The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, April 25th and Monday, May 2nd, there were at least 27 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A pair of assault cases on Martin Street on Monday, April 25th;
- a property crime case on Maple Avenue on Monday, April 25th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Gainer Crescent on Monday, April 25th;
- a theft case on Kennedy Circle on Monday, April 25th;
- a robbery on Santa Maria Boulevard on Tuesday, April 26th;
- a pair of assault cases on Martin Street on Wednesday, April 27th;
- a theft case on Laurier Avenue on Wednesday, April 27th;
- a theft case on Steeles Avenue on Wednesday, April 27th;
- a theft case on Steeles Avenue on Thursday, April 28th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Norris Circle on Thursday, April 28th;
- an assault case on Santa Maria Boulevard on Thursday, April 28th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Asleton Boulevard on Thursday, April 28th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Nakerville Crescent on Thursday, April 28th;
- a property crime case on Regional Road 25 on Thursday, April 28th;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Friday, April 29th;
- a theft case on Steeles Avenue on Friday, April 29th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Steeles Avenue on Friday, April 29th;
- a theft case on Main Street East on Friday, April 29th;
- an assault case on Steeles Avenue on Friday, April 29th;
- a theft case on Maple Avenue on Friday, April 29th;
- an assault case on Savoline Boulevard on Friday, April 29th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Trudeau Drive on Saturday, April 30th;
- a property crime case on Santa Maria Boulevard on Saturday, April 30th; and,
- a pair of theft case on Steeles Avenue by the Toronto Premium Outlets on Sunday, May 1st.
Of the 27 cases of crime, 15 were theft cases of some kind, eight were assault cases, three were property crime cases, and one was a robbery case.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
