The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested a pair of teenagers following a paintball shooting incident in Acton.
On Saturday, April 23rd, at roughly 9:30 p.m., the HRPS responded to the area of the Acton Arena at Queen Street East and Tanners Drive in Acton following reports that occupants in a vehicle were shooting paint balls at pedestrians. The vehicle left the area but returned a short time later and began shooting paint balls again, targeting people on foot. Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle and arrested two suspects.
Two victims were struck by the paint balls, causing injuries.
A 15-year-old male from Georgetown and a 16-year-old male from Halton Hills (both occupants of the suspect vehicle) were arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Both males were released on Undertaking.
Two paintball guns, numerous paintballs and other paintball gun equipment were seized by officers.
