The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, April 11th and Monday, April 18th, there were at least 17 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A breaking and entering case on Market Drive on Monday, April 11th;
- a theft case on Steeles Avenue on Monday, April 11th;
- a theft case on Lawson Road on Monday, April 11th;
- a theft case on Fitzgerald Crescent on Monday, April 11th;
- a theft case on Turner Drive on Monday, April 11th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Hood Terrace on Monday, April 11th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Elsley Court on Monday, April 11th;
- an assault case on Menefy Place on Monday, April 11th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Forbes Terrace on Tuesday, April 12th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Glenda Jane Drive in Campbellville on Tuesday, April 12th;
- a property crime case on Meighen Way on Wednesday, April 13th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Steeles Avenue on Wednesday, April 13th;
- a breaking and entering case on Duncan Lane on Thursday, April 14th;
- an assault case on Main Street East on Friday, April 15th;
- a property crime case on Ontario Street North on Saturday, April 16th;
- a theft case on Hobbs Crescent on Saturday, April 16th; and,
- an assault case on Scott Boulevard on Saturday, April 16th.
Of the 17 cases of crime, ten were theft cases of some kind, three assault cases, two property crime cases, and two breaking and entering cases.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
