
Milton Menace take the ice, 2019
The Milton Menace went up against their toughest challenge yet: their divisional rivals in a best on three series in the OJHL playoffs.
Game one of the series began on Saturday night at the Central Arena in Burlington.
Milton was playing catch up seemingly all game. Burlington opened the scoring in the first, with it ending 1-0 after 20 minutes.
Menace player Alessandro Petreccia tied the game on a goal, assisted by Aidan Hughes. With a few minutes left in the second period, the Cougars regained the lead to make it 2-1 after two.
Milton Captain Jordan Stock (assisted by Cole Semeniuk and Ethan Sims) then scored 23 seconds into the third period to tie the game at 2. Burlington then scored a go-ahead goal that was matched about a minute later by Milton’s Thomas Gordon (assisted by James Barbour).
The game went into overtime tied at 3. After 5:51 in the extra period, Tyler Amaral scored to give the Menace the 1-0 lead in the series.
Game two of the three game series will happen on Tuesday, April 19th at the Milton Memorial Arena. Gametime is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.. Tickets can be purchased here.

- Nutrafarms OJHL Championship Series
- May 2-15, 2022 Best-of-7 Series
The OJHL Champions will qualify directly for the 2022 Centennial Cup presented by Tim Hortons in Estevan, Saskatchewan May 19-29, 2022 at the 2,700-seat Affinity Place. All nine CJHL member leagues from across Canada will send their champions to the National Championship tournament this year along with the host team.
