A prayer wall has been put up at Milton’s St. Paul’s United Church.
The wall can be found on the front lawn of the church at 123 Main Street East. The church is asking members of the community to tie a ribbon to the wall.
“This year’s Lenten journey is taking us through the lightness and darkness of rapidly changing times,” says Sue Butson, Past Chair, Church Council, St. Paul’s United Church. “We’re feeling lighter because of the lifting of pandemic restrictions. Yet, we’re feeling the shadows of war in Ukraine and remembering the ongoing wars in the Middle East and Africa.”
Miltonians are invited to spend a reflective moment at the prayer wall as a gesture towards world peace and healing.
“As Canadians we have the opportunity to live a life of freedom – freedom of choice, freedom of voice. These ribbons represent our voice to the people of Ukraine and all other nations, First Nations, individuals experiencing conflict. Let’s show the world that hope does prevail over despair,” Butson adds.
