The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, March 28th and Monday, April 4th, there were at least 22 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A breaking and entering case on Market Drive on Monday, March 28th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Millside Drive on Monday, March 28th;
- a quality of life case on Martin Street on Monday, March 28th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Steeles Avenue East on Monday, March 28th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Bronte Street South on Monday, March 28th;
- an assault case on Snoek Point on Monday, March 28th;
- a theft case on Day Terrace on Monday, March 28th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Holgate Crescent on Monday, March 28th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Bronte Street South on Tuesday, March 29th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Millside Drive on Tuesday, March 29th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Tupper Drive on Tuesday, March 29th;
- a theft from vehicle case on McGeachie Drive on Tuesday, March 29th;
- a theft case on Trafalgar Road on Tuesday, March 29th;
- a quality of life case on Childs Drive on Wednesday, March 30th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Pitfield Road on Wednesday, March 30th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Syndeham Lane on Wednesday, March 30th;
- a quality of life case on Martin Street on Thursday, March 31st;
- a theft from vehicle case on Lawson Road on Thursday, March 31st;
- a theft from vehicle case on Farmstead Drive on Thursday, March 31st;
- a property crime case on Cousens Terrace on Thursday, March 31st;
- a theft case on Main Street East on Friday, April 1st; and,
- a quality of life case on Garden Lane on Friday, April 1st.
Of the 22 cases of crime, 15 were theft cases of some kind, four quality of life cases, one was a assault case, one was a property crimes case, and one was a breaking and entering case.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
