The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, March 21st and Monday, March 28th, there were at least 22 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A theft of vehicle case on Main Street East on Monday, March 21st;
- a theft case on Cargill Path on Monday, March 21st;
- an assault case on Main Street East on Monday, March 21st;
- a theft case on Main Street East on Monday, March 21st;
- a theft case on Main Street East on Monday, March 21st;
- a theft case on Steeles Avenue on Monday, March 21st;
- an assault case at Louis St. Laurent Avenue and Regional Road 25 on Monday, March 21st;
- a theft case on Britton Crescent on Monday, March 21st;
- a theft case on Kennedy Circle on Monday, March 21st;
- a property crime on Symons Crossing on Tuesday, March 22nd;
- a theft case on Steeles Avenue on Tuesday, March 22nd;
- a breaking and entering case on Boston Church Road on Wednesday, March 23rd;
- a theft case on Ontario Street on Thursday, March 24th;
- a breaking and entering case on Lawson Road on Thursday, March 24th;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Friday, March 25th;
- an assault case on Main Street East on Friday, March 25th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Esquesing Line on Friday, March 25th;
- an assault case at Louis St. Laurent Avenue and Thompson Road on Friday, March 25th;
- a property crime case on Guelph Line in Campbellville on Saturday, March 26th;
- a theft case on Steeles Avenue on Saturday, March 26th;
- an assault case on Commercial Street on Sunday, March 27th; and,
- a theft case on Childs Drive on Sunday, March 27th.
Of the 22 cases of crime, 12 were theft cases of some kind, six were assault cases, two were property crimes cases, and two were breaking and entering cases.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
