The Milton EscarpmentĀ Toastmasters Club is celebrating its 2nd anniversary on March 24th.
The event will be held virtually from 7:30pm-9:30pm on zoom.
Toastmasters clubs are dedicated to helping members improve their communication and leadership skills.
Vice President of Education for the Milton Escarpment Toastmasters Club, Lou Mulligan, has been a Toastmasters member for 12 years and shares the main reasons why people join.
Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs.
Worldwide, Toastmasters has over 300,000 members. There are over 15,800 clubs in 149 countries.
International President, Margaret Page, will be a guest speaker for the anniversary event.
Mulligan says Toastmasters has helped him with his self confidence, and invites all Milton residents to participate.
The Milton Escarpment Toastmasters Club meets every Thursday from 7:30pm-9:30pm.
