
Milton Menace fans cheer the team on during 2019-2020 season
The Milton Menace continued their winning ways on Tuesday night.
They took on the Markham Royals at the Milton Memorial Arena.
The first period went by without a score from either team.
Milton’s Ben Hofstetter opened the scoring (assisted by Aidan Hughes and Ryan O’Donnell) five minutes into the second period. Lucas Buzziol (Tyler Turpin and O’Donnell) made it a 2-0 game, before the Royals got one right back. It was 2-1 entering the third period.
Menace captain Jordan Stock (Buzziol and Tyler Amaral) scored shorthanded to open the third period. Markham then scored on a penalty shot before Holden Rogers (Ryan Holmes and Cole Semeniuk) sent it home with an empty net goal. The Menace won 4-2.
Will Goumas stopped 22 of 24 shots for the win.
Through 42 games, the Menace are 28-10-0-4 with 60 points. They are second in the West Division and fifth across the Ontario Junior Hockey League.
The Menace next play the Brantford 99ers on Friday night. Gametime is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Milton Memorial Arena.
