Environment Canada has put a weather advisory in effect.
It says that heavy snow is projected to fall in Milton and the surrounding area. 5-10 cm will fall between Thursday night and Friday morning. This will be accompanied with blowing snow.
“Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly,” says Environment Canada. “Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.”
