A snowfall warning has been issued for Milton and the surrounding area.
Environment Canada says that 15-25 cm is expected to fall Thursday night. This follows a 24-hour period of nothing but above freezing temperatures and rain. That means roads are expected to be slick and packed. Here are the hazards issued:
- Snow, at times heavy, this afternoon through Friday morning. Total snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 cm possible.
- Near zero visibility at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
- Icy and slippery surfaces.
The snow will end briefly on Friday, but is expected to pick back up Friday night and carry into Saturday morning. The seven day forecast also projects snow in the middle of next week.
Happy February!
