The planning phase for The Milton Public Library’s expansion has started, with construction expected to start in 2023.
It is anticipated that the expansion for the location at 1010 main street east will open to the public in late 2024, instead of taking place in 2027.
Milton Public Library’s Chief Librarian and CEO, Mark Williams, speaks on why accelerating the expansion is important for the community.
Williams says the expansion is just one of the many things Milton’s Public Library is working on for the town. A bookmobile and new library branches are also in the works.
The public will be able to view the progress of the expansion from start to finish as construction of the expansion will be open to the public.
Williams shares his excitement on the expansion process and will provide more details once potential partner opportunities are confirmed.
More information and details on the design and new features of the building will be shared as new announcements are made.
