Recently, a woman ran out of gas on the QEW, causing a five-car pile up on the highway. Anderson says that while the OPP looks after highways, he can attest from many local multi-car pile ups that the process is long and arduous. That can be because of many factors; like weather, stress, injuries, etc. If you’re ever involved in a collision, especially one that involves multiple vehicles, know that the process won’t end quickly.
‘Ask a Cop’ will return next week with more of your questions being answered. Reach out if you have any questions that you’d like answered by a local police officer.
