The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested two suspects after a month-long drug trafficking investigation in Burlington.
On Friday, January 14th, 23-year-old David Gulak of Burlington was arrested in Brantford by HRPS officers. He was charged with the following offences:
- Trafficking (3 counts)
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (7 counts)
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose (3 counts)
A subsequent Criminal Code search warrant was executed at a residence in Burlington which led the following items being seized:
- 7.5 grams of Fentanyl
- 1 gram of Cocaine
- 7 Vyvanse Pills
- 450 ml of Codeine
- 17 Hydromorphone Pills
- 11 Buprenorphine
- 28.7 grams of cutting agent
- 1 digital scale
- $530.00 cash
- 3 knives
Gulak was released on an Undertaking.
On Wednesday, January 19th, HRPS officers arrested the second suspect identified through the course of the investigation. 24-year-old Brady Paterson of Burlington has been charged with the following offences:
- Careless Storage of Ammunition
- Possession of a Prohibited Device
- Possession of a Prohibited Device Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized
- Breach of Firearms Prohibition
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
Paterson was released on an Undertaking.
