Stage of the Sports Celebrity Dinner (2020)
The Milton Sports Celebrity Dinner and Auction has been postponed.
Each year, the event raises money for the Milton Chamber Scholarship Fund through the ticket sales, as well as both the silent and live auctions. The fund helps local students in their post-secondary education.
The decision to postpone the dinner was made by the Milton Chamber of Commerce following the new COVID-19 regulations. Chamber President and CEO Scott McCammon says it will return in-person when it can.
The current return date is Tuesday, April 5th. It’ll be at RattleSnake Point Golf Club.
There are two announced guests for the dinner: former NHL player and current broadcaster, Nick Kypreos, as well as RBC Olympian Miranda Ayim. Sportsnet’s Ken Reid is expected to return as the Master of Ceremonies.
McCammon shares what makes the event so special.
At the time of writing, the sale for tickets is currently on-hold, but McCammon says the webpage will be back up and running sometime this week. We will update this article should the tickets go on-sale again.
