New Year’s Day brings the usual round of holiday closures.
That includes most retail outlets, government offices, financial institutions and the Post Office.
Some pharmacies will open.
There will be normal waste collection in Simcoe County but all County waste facilities will be closed.
County Christmas tree collection occurs throughout January.
Simcoe County LINX transit won’t operate New Years Day and GO will run on a normal Saturday schedule.
