Simcoe County has been awarded a “New Horizons for Seniors” which is a Federal grants and contributions program.
The $25,000 grant will be used to purchase additional Smart TVs and tablets to increase virtual programming capacity to vulnerable seniors residing in County long term homes.
Simcoe Manor is on the list.
The County says the money is for enhanced virtual programming and engagement needs during the pandemic.
They add these devices “…play a vital role in stimulating and promoting social participation and inclusion for vulnerable seniors.”
