The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is looking for an apparent fraud suspect posing as an RCMP officer.
Between Tuesday, November 30th and Wednesday, December 2nd, the unknown man attended an address in Burlington to pick up envelopes of cash from the victim. The victim had received calls from who they thought was an RCMP officer saying that the victim’s son had been arrested.
The HRPS describes the suspect as:
- Male, white, 5’10 to 6’0, medium build, 170-180 lbs, 25-30 years old.
- Dark hair. Black and grey Nike shoes, brown pants, blue shirt, black winter coat.
The vehicle is described as:
- 2019 to 2020, dark blue or black Nissan Altima, possibly Quebec or Ontario marker.
