The latest COVID-19 stats for Milton and Halton have been released.
Across Halton, there are 619 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 26,494. With 23,120 resolved cases and 246 deaths, Halton is at 3128 active cases, 238 more than Tuesday. The Region says that of the 26,494 total cases, 25,731 were confirmed positive while 763 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have 118 new cases. That brings us to 7785 total cases. With 7133 resolved cases and 48 deaths, Milton is at 604 active cases, 47 more than Tuesday’s update. The Region says that of the 7785 total cases, 7520 were confirmed positive while 265 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region is reporting variant case totals. It says that 10,852 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 3195 total variant cases.
An outbreak has been declared at a congregate living facility. It is labelled only as ‘Congregate Living – 80’ on the Halton Region outbreak webpage. There are 97 cases being reported – 33 are non-Halton cases, 61 are residents, two are staff cases, and one unspecified. It was first declared on Thursday, November 4th.
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,044,779 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 931,976 of the doses were to Halton residents.
463,656 second doses have been administered in Halton. 412,434 of those have been Halton residents.
108,949 additional doses have been administered in Halton. 94,203 of those have been Halton residents.
