The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, December 13th and Monday, December 20th, there were at least 26 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A theft case at Commercial Street and Main Street East on Monday, December 13th;
- an assault case on Regional Road 25 on Monday, December 13th;
- a pair of theft cases on Steeles Avenue East on Monday, December 13th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Cousens Terrace on Monday, December 13th;
- a property crime at Deacon Drive and Kennedy Circle on Monday, December 13th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Eadie Drive on Tuesday, December 14th;
- a pair of theft from vehicle cases on Bonin Crescent on Tuesday, December 14th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Maquire Terrace on Tuesday, December 14th;
- a pair of theft from vehicle cases on McNair Circle on Tuesday, December 14th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Savoline Boulevard on Tuesday, December 14th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Potts Terrace on Tuesday, December 14th;
- a theft from vehicle case on McColl Court on Wednesday, December 15th;
- a breaking and entering case on Cleve Court on Wednesday, December 15th;
- a robbery on Main Street East on Wednesday, December 15th;
- a theft case on Ontario Street South on Thursday, December 16th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Steeles Avenue East on Thursday, December 16th;
- a property crime case on Hampshire Way on Thursday, December 16th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Greenlees Circle on Thursday, December 16th;
- a theft case on Bowell Crescent on Thursday, December 16th;
- a robbery on Bronte Street South on Thursday, December 16th;
- a theft case on Scott Boulevard on Thursday, December 16th;
- a breaking and entering case on James Snow Parkway on Sunday, December 19th; and,
- a theft case on Bronte Street South on Sunday, December 19th.
Of the 26 cases of crime, 19 were theft cases of some kind, two were robberies, two were break and enter cases, two were property crime cases, and one was an assault.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
