The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is looking for suspects of an armed robbery at a Milton pharmacy.
The robbery happened on Wednesday, December 15th, just before 7:30 p.m.. The HRPS responded to a call at Zak’s Pharmacy at 70 Main Street East in Milton. Reports indicated that two suspects had entered the pharmacy between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and spoke with a staff member. The suspects then left the pharmacy, only to return to commit the robbery at 7:23 p.m..
The suspects indicated that they had a gun and demanded prescription drugs. The suspects ransacked the pharmacy and assaulted an employee before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs. The victim did not require medical attention as a result of the assault.
A search for the suspects, including use of a K9 Unit, was not fruitful.
The suspects are described by the HRPS as :
- Suspect 1: male, black, 6’ tall, thin mustache, wearing black pants and carrying a black backpack
- Suspect 2: male, white, 5’9”-5’10” tall, pale skin, blue eyes, blonde hair, wearing either a blue or white jacket
Police are asking anyone that may have witnessed the incident or may have dash-cam or CCTV footage of the following times/areas to contact investigators at 905-825-4777 ext 2450.
- Main Street between Martin Street and Bronte Street between 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
- Martin Street to Hwy 401 between 7:20 pm and 7:40 pm
