The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting 72 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Simcoe over the weekend (dec 10-12).

22 of the positive cases were in people 17 years of age and under.
There were 197 confirmed cases in Simcoe County.
There are now 192 active cases in South Simcoe, up 47 since Friday (dec 10) with 6 cases in hospital which is unchanged.
With kids aged 5-11 now eligible for vaccine, the health unit now shows 80% of residents of Simcoe Muskoka have had their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine with 75% fully vaccinated.
