The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says a 91-year-old woman is in stable condition after being struck by vehicle.
The collision happened at on Friday, December 10th. The HRPS says it received the report at roughly 5:43 p.m.. The vehicle had struck a pedestrian on Ironstone Drive – just east of Appleby Line in Burlington.
The initial investigation found that the woman had been crossing Ironstone from north to south when she was hit. She wasn’t using a crosswalk and sustained serious injuries. The Burlington woman was taken to Hamilton General Hospital where she remains in stable condition.
The driver, an 81-year-old Burlington man, remained on scene and cooperated with the police investigation.
The road was closed for roughly three hours for the investigation.
