The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting 12 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Simcoe in the last day (dec 6).

- 1 New Tecumseth
4 of the positive cases are in people 17 years of age and under.
There were 92 confirmed cases in Simcoe County, 51 of those are located in Barrie.
There are now 176 active cases in South Simcoe, down 13 since Monday (dec 6) with 3 cases in hospital which is up 1.
With kids aged 5-11 now eligible for vaccine, the health unit still shows 79% of residents of Simcoe Muskoka have had their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine with 75% fully vaccinated.
