The jobless rate fell to six per cent in November as the economy added 154-thousand jobs.
That’s putting Canada close to pre-pandemic employment levels.
Statistics Canada also says that total hours worked returned to pre-pandemic levels for the first time in November, following a stretch where some workers had seen their hours cut.
Ontario almost posted job gains with the jobless rate dropping to 6.4% in November compared to 7% the month previous
Locally, the number dropped to 7.7% last month compared to 8.4% in October.
