The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting 21 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Simcoe in the last day (dec 1).

8 positive cases are in people 17 years of age and under.
There were 93 confirmed cases in Simcoe County with 30 from Barrie.
There are now 127 active cases in South Simcoe, up 8 since Wednesday (dec 1) with 4 cases in hospital which is down 2.
With kids aged 5-11 now eligible for vaccine, the health unit still shows 78% of residents of Simcoe Muskoka have had their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine with 75% fully vaccinated.
