Beginning today (nov 26) children aged 5-11 can receive a COVID-19 shot through the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.
Dr. Charles Gardner is Chief Medical Officer of Health.
He says the vaccine is safe and effective but he says there are still parents who want more information before they set up an appointment for their kids.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is holding a virtual town hall on the vaccine for parents so they can make an informed decision.
The online event goes December 8th beginning at 7pm.
