Conservation Halton (CH) is warning of wild boars being spotted in the Burlington area.
It says that partners are working to control the spread of the invasive species. In a response on Twitter to whether the animals are considered dangerous, CH adds that, while attacks are rare, you should not approach a wild boar if seen and all pets should be kept on leash.
If you see a wild boar, report the observation to the MNDMNRF at wildpigs@ontario.ca or 1-833-933-2355.
