
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, November 15th and Monday, November 22nd, there were at least 24 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- An assault case on Martin Street on Monday, November 15th;
- a quality of life case at 14 Sideroad and Tremaine Road on Monday, November 15th;
- a theft case on Ontario Street South on Tuesday, November 16th;
- a break and enter case on John Street on Tuesday, November 16th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Commercial Street on Wednesday, November 17th;
- an assault case on Bronte Street South on Thursday, November 18th;
- a theft case on Briar Crescent on Thursday, November 18th;
- an assault case on Merritt Drive on Thursday, November 18th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Main Street East on Thursday, November 18th
- a theft of vehicle case on Dixon Drive on Thursday, November 18th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Steeles Avenue on Friday, November 19th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Etherington Way on Friday, November 19th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Woodward Avenue on Friday, November 19th;
- a breaking and entering case on Steeles Avenue on Friday, November 19th;
- a pair of assault cases on Martin Street on Friday, November 19th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Stevenson Street on Friday, November 19th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Bessborough Drive on Friday, November 19th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Langholm Street on Friday, November 19th;
- an assault case on Durno Court on Friday, November 19th;
- a theft case on Leiterman Drive on Saturday, November 20th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Maple Avenue on Saturday, November 20th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Reis Place on Sunday, November 21st; and,
- an assault case on Laurier Avenue on Sunday, November 21st.
Of the 24 cases of crime, 14 were theft cases, seven were assault cases, two were break and enter cases, and one was a quality of life case.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
