Passing a snow plow is never a safe idea, especially when the operator is actively clearing the road making it safe for traffic.
Winter weather is in the forecast and the Town of Innisfil is prepared with 13 plows and 5 sidewalk cleaners along with a robotic sidewalk plow, that will clear the way in Cookstown.
Brian Seed is the Operations Manager in Innisfil, he suggests you pack some patience if you are driving and come across a plow.

Plow operators are expected to keep the trucks at or below 40 km/h when actively clearing the road.
Seed also reminds residents that main highways and roads are cleared first, the plow operators will then go back over suburban areas.
