The Milton Menace lost a tight one against the Brantford 99ers.
Brantford opened the scoring in the first at the Gretzky Main Rink. Menace captain Jordan Stock then tied the game with a powerplay goal. It was assisted by Holden Rogers.
In the second period, the 99ers added a pair of goals to go up 3-1.
Brantford then made it 4-1 in the third. The Menace then attempted a comeback with two goals in 29 seconds. Lucas Buzziol scored, assisted by Stock and Nicholas Wereha. Justin Randhawa made it 4-3 with his goal, assisted by Aidan Hughes and Holden Rogers.
The 99ers got the win, 4-3.
A silver lining is that the Menace outshot Brantford 46-24.
The Milton Menace play again Friday. They face the Georgetown Raiders at the Milton Memorial Arena. Gametime starts at 7:30 p.m..
Fought hard to tie it up, but Branford wins this one 4-3.
