November is Diabetes Awareness Month.
The Alliston Lions Club will be the Alliston Zehrs and Walmart between 9am and 3pm this Saturday (nov 13) as part of their ongoing diabetes education campaign.
Jim Bartley is the Diabetes Chair for the Lions District A-12.
Insulin was co-discovered by Alliston’s Dr Sir Frederick Banting.
According to recent statistics, almost 4 million Canadians are living with diabetes.
Sunday (nov 14) is World Diabetes Day and Dr Banting’s birthday.
