The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is looking for a porch pirate.
It says that a male suspect was seen stealing roughly $200 in packages/deliveries from the front porch of a residence on Westchester Road in Oakville. This specific theft happened on Thursday, October 21st, at roughly 2:40 p.m..
The male is described by the HRPS as:
- 5’6-5’8, 160lbs., wearing a black baseball hat with a light coloured emblem on the front, black long sleeve “hoodie”, dark coloured jeans, wearing black and white puma sneakers.
This issue was touched on briefly in the latest edition of ‘Ask a Cop’. Halton Police Constable Ryan Anderson says things like Ring video doorbells can pick up suspects in these kinds of thefts. Read that article here.
If you have any information on this case, contact the HRPS or Crime Stoppers.
