With Halloween this weekend, the Milton Fire Department has issued a few tips to avoid disaster this time around.
In a tweet, it says:
- Use a battery-operated candle or glow stick in jack-o-lanterns;
- When choosing costumes, stay away from long trailing fabric; and,
- Keep all decorations away from open flames and other heat sources like light bulbs and heaters.
A couple weeks ago, we spoke with Milton Fire Chief Peter Gatto for Fire Prevention Week. A lot of those tips apply to this weekend as well. Read that article here.
