The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
Each week, the report and map both detail when and where cases of crime took place in Milton. Between Monday, October 18th and Monday, October 25th, there were at least 23 cases of crime that were reported. Looking at the map, here’s what we found:
- An assault case on Martin Street on Monday, October 18th;
- an assault case on McLaughlin Avenue on Monday, October 18th;
- a theft case on Main Street on Tuesday, October 19th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Bell School Line on Tuesday, October 19th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Santa Maria Boulevard on Tuesday, October 19th;
- a theft case on Second Line Nassagaweya in Campbellville on Tuesday, October 19th;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Wednesday, October 20th;
- a breaking and entering case on Stewart Crescent on Wednesday, October 20th;
- a pair of assault cases on Martin Street on Thursday, October 21st;
- a theft from vehicle case on Hobbs Crescent on Thursday, October 21st;
- a breaking and entering case on Bell School Line on Thursday, October 21st;
- a theft from vehicle case on Harkin Place on Thursday, October 21st;
- a property crime case on Forbes Terrace on Thursday, October 21st;
- a breaking and entering case on MacArthur Drive in Campbellville on Thursday, October 21st;
- a theft from vehicle case on Bell Street on Saturday, October 23rd;
- an assault case on Steeles Avenue on Saturday, October 23rd;
- a theft case on Santa Maria Boulevard on Saturday, October 23rd;
- a theft case on Guelph Line in Campbellville on Sunday, October 24th;
- a breaking and entering case on Crozier Crescent on Sunday, October 24th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Market Drive on Sunday, October 24th;
- a theft case on Bell School Line on Sunday, October 24th; and,
- a robbery case on Maple Avenue on Sunday, October 24th.
Of the 23 cases of crime, 11 were theft cases, six were theft cases, four were breaking and entering cases, one was a property crime case, and one was a robbery case.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
