Milton Public Library's Beaty branch (2021)
The Milton Public Library is willing to forgive your for your late fees… for a unique price!
To celebrate Ontario Public Library Week (October 17th – 23rd) and Canadian Library Month, the Milton Public Library (MPL) will be hosting its fourth annual fine forgiveness program to support the Milton Community Resource Centre (MCRC) Infant Food Bank.
Patrons can return their overdue books in exchange for nonperishable food items or diapers. This is being held at all three MPL locations.
The MCRC Infant Food Bank is especially hoping for these high demand items:
- Enfamil formula
- Gluten free baby cereal
- Baby food pouches
- Large size diapers 4, 5, 6
The MCRC Infant Food Bank is the only of its kind in Halton, and it supports more than 100 babies per month. Each month, more families are relying on their services. The MPL is proud to continue to support this initiative this year, with the support of the community.

The Food for Fines campaign will run to November 7th.
