Parents gearing up for fall coaching positions will soon require proof of a COVID vaccination to officiate their kids in sports.

Dr. Charles Gardner says the mandate will apply to anyone over the age of 12.

He says the mandate will not cover school sports but minor sports..
Dr. Gardner says until a vaccine is approved for children under the age of 12, this is the best way to protect them from the COVID -19 virus.
The mandate comes into effect November 25, giving those who are not vaccinated enough time to receive both first and second doses.
