The province and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit are planning to start conducting education and compliance visits to different businesses next week.
Visits are to help ensure businesses are following public health guidelines to protect employees and the public from COVID-19.
Over a 3 day period beginning October 4 Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development will team up with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, local by-law officers and police to ensure compliance with the provincial Reopening Act.
An emphasis will be placed on proof of vaccination being required from patrons aged 12 and over.
Safety plans must also be written an posted, proper use of masks and capacity limits must also be followed.
