UPDATE:
The police investigation at Lower Base Line West and 6th Line in Milton has revealed that an 81-year-old man from the Peel region has been found dead.
Ignacio Viana was reported missing from Peel region on September 17th. On Thursday, a report came in of a dead man on the side of the road. Officers arrived on scene, located the body, and confirmed the report.
In a release, the HRPS extended their condolences to the friends and family of Mr. Viana. They also thanked the community for their support and assistance in attempts to help locate Mr. Viana.
Investigators are continuing their investigation and are asking that anyone with information or dash-cam footage from the area of Lower Base Line West and 6th Line in Milton from Friday, September 17th to Thursday, September 23rd to contact them at 905-825-4777 ext. 2420.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says a Milton road has been closed for a police investigation.
Lower Base Line West is closed from 6th Line to Trafalgar Road. No further details have been shared at this time.
Residents are asked to find an alternate route through the area.
