United Way Halton & Hamilton (UWHH) is teaming up with TD Canada for Walk This Way. It’s a virtual fundraising event. The money raised will help Milton residents and families.
The senior manager of marketing and communications at UWHH, Sarah Hodgson, says it’s about exercise and helping others.
September has already been a huge month for United Way Halton & Hamilton. The organization just recently held its 21st Mayor’s Golf Tournament at Granite Ridge Golf Club where it raised $200,000. That was in large part due to the 288 golfers that showed out, as well as several sponsors chipping in where they could. UWHH also announced its annual fundraising goal, which is set at $10.8 million.
Hodgson explains where the idea for Walk This Way came from.
So, from September 24th to October 4th, participants will raise money while joining in on the virtual activities.
